Anita Constantini's Sculpture
My practice and exploration of sculpture began in the studio of Franca Basevi, in Florence, Italy (1984-91) where I worked with refractory clay and oxides learning how to intuitively express my creative potential.
In 1988, for the first time in Pietrasanta, Italy, I discovered statuary marble under the guidance of sculptor Pasquale Martini. I returned to marble sculpting in 1997, after my BA in psychology at Sussex University, England, as apprentice and assistant to Pasquale Martini and Cesare Riva (Pietrasanta Marble Carving Studio, 1997-2001).
Since 2000 I have been sculpting in my studio in Impruneta, Firenze.
